Cortez High School is a public high school in Phoenix, Arizona, serving grades 9-12 and part of the Glendale Union High School District. The school has a diverse student population, with a racial makeup that includes 14.04% White, 12.32% African American, 60.51% Hispanic, 5.43% Asian, 4.62% Native American, 0.18% Pacific Islander, and 2.9% two or more races.

Cortez High School consistently underperforms compared to the district and state in academic metrics. In the 2023-2024 school year, only 29% of 11th-grade students were proficient or better in English Language Arts, compared to 38% for the district and state. In Mathematics, only 23% of 11th-grade students were proficient or better, compared to 31% for the district and 30% for the state. The school's four-year graduation rate has declined from 87.1% in 2018-2019 to 84.8% in 2022-2023, lower than the state average.
