As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Garden Hill is a fantastic school with excellent teachers. My child is receiving a top quality education and always score advanced on the state test. I truly think their as good as any private school. They have great after school events like the Fall Festival and Summer Jam. I would ignore the other disgruntled posting. Close Quote

Open Quote My Child is currently a new student at Garden hill. At the beginning of the year he was an a combination class K-1. It was a disaster. Teacher could not handle a lot of students and teaches both levels at the same time. Our kids spent more of the time coloring than getting real class instruction. After two month the administration decided to separate the class. Now we have a new teacher who is temporal until January when the real teacher is going to show up because is in medical leave. COULD YOU IMAGINE! OUR CHILDREN DEALING WITH THREE DIFFERENT TEACHERS IN LEST THAN A YEAR! WHILE THE OTHES KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS ARE NOT EXPERIENCE THE SAME. In addition to it, us, the parents consider that our children are not being challenged enough and have disciplinary issues in class. We were told that our class was a special class because most of the students knows kindergarden curriculum, however the school do not accommodate our children, BUT enroll children that are younger than the age required to enrolled kindergarden. Our child have learn more from the Preschool program than kinder. The school is supposed to be A DISTINGUISHED school but under WHAT STANDARD? the schools now days are more DAY CARES THAN EDUCATION CENTER. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
