The school is part of the Warren County Vocational Technical School District, which is ranked 362 out of 613 districts in the state and has a 2-star rating from SchoolDigger.

The school's performance has fluctuated over the years, with its statewide ranking ranging from 148 to 344 out of New Jersey high schools and its SchoolDigger rating varying from 1 to 3 stars. The school's graduation rate is generally around 90-100%, which is on par with or slightly better than nearby Hackettstown High School, Delaware Valley Regional High School, and North Hunterdon High School. However, the school's chronic absenteeism rate is higher than the average of these nearby schools.

Academically, Warren County Vocational Technical School performs below the state average in English Language Arts, Math, and Science proficiency. In comparison, the Hunterdon County Academies, a specialized vocational school, significantly outperforms Warren County Vocational Technical School across the board, ranking among the top 5% of New Jersey high schools. This may be due to the school's relatively low spending per student compared to the Hunterdon County Academies, which could limit its ability to provide comprehensive vocational and academic programs.

As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Warren County Vo-Tech has improved tremendously over the past 4 years that I have had a child in attendance there. I now have two children in attendance and my oldest will graduate this June with honors. She has been accepted into college with several academic and service oriented scholarships. Her success is greatly due to the dedication and caring of the staff at Warren County Vo-Tech. The school has improved academically adding new programs, more honors classes, etc. I feel there is less violence, bullying, etc. at Tech than the surrounding high schools and much greater acceptance of all students by their peers regardless of their interests, social status, etc. My children have and are benefiting greatly from their experience at Warren County Vo-Tech. This school deserves a new evaluation which I am confident will result in a much higher ranking. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
