As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This school is absolutely horrendous! Greatschools.org rated this school a 9, but their system must be seriously flawed! We have only been here a year, but we're extatic there won't be a second! Our son has ADHD and performed extremely well in his last school, but is failing here due in large part to the lack communication and responsibility from the worthless teachers he has and staff. I'm certainly not saying all the teachers are bad, but his have some significant issues, and I can't fathom why they even became teachers! For example, I told them that my son told me he was scared of his teachers and now hates school...they thought that was hysterical! The principal is absolutely worthless! He has a criminal justice degree and treats the students like convicts! We tried to meet with him to discuss some of our concerns about our son to ensure proper placement with an experienced teacher and was told to write a letter! He has two assistants but doesn't have time to visit with a concerned parent?!? I've heard E. Montgomery has better schools. If your child is as programmable as a well disciplined robot, I'm certain they will do well here. If you care about your child though, you'll find a different school or home school! Close Quote

Open Quote This is an average school with lots of hard working teachers. Most of the front office staff is always polite and welcoming. However, the principal is unprofessional and extremely rude. I had a meeting with this man about parking in the front parking lot and walking my child to the door (this kind of activity is frowned upon here at Daniel Pratt). What I got was a good-old-boy cuss out. I was informed that if I choose to continue to do this legal action will be taken against me. I was also reminded that my child does not have to attend Daniel Pratt. Be aware that if you choose to voice your opinion about any of their policies you will be quickly put in your proper place. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
