Open Quote PADRE DE FAMILIA
The Osborn District is very good especially the following schools: Encanto and Clarendon. These schools have helped my children excel academically. The schools are very safe and I feel calm every morning to leave my children there. I know they’re safe. Personally they have helped me excel in the Parent Academy. I would like to return next year. Thanks for all opportunities. They have very good programs for the whole family and I wish that it will continue to expand. I want the Parent Academy to continue. Onward and forward! Close Quote

Open Quote My youngest has just completed her third year at Encanto, and is graduating on to Clarendon. The teachers have been truly delightful! The Dual Language program is great. The music and art programs are fantastic. She has made great friends and has been challenged by the academics. The teachers somehow know how to teach to meet each child s needs. Close Quote

Open Quote Encanto is a great school. The Spanish Dual Language Program is excellent. Kids learn IN Spanish one week then flip to English the next week! My daughter is also in the Ballet Program. Free profession-orientated ballet- well, it costs $2 for the year! All leotards, shoes and hair supplies are provided. She loves the ballet, her teachers and art and music teachers are extraordinary. Great school, great academics! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
