Open Quote I do not recommend this school. So many problems with administration, took half the year to put my emergency contact information into the system, the staff failed to keep me posted on my child’s progress and the principal only takes the staffs side. Close Quote

Open Quote The teachers at Nau Charter (Imagine Schools) are very dedicated to providing a top-notch quality education to their students. My child has attended the school since their opening in 2009 and has always had teachers that have challenged him. I must say that my child is one that requires to be challenged.
In addition, the school fosters a positive character environment providing other students the opportunity to nominate other children for a specific trait, these students receiving an award. This provides the children with more motivation for positive behaviors. On the flip side, the administration does not allow for those engaging in continuous disciplinary issues to continue. Should the child and family not respond to intervention, then the child will be asked to leave. This to me is providing children with natural consequences for behaviors.
My reasoning for a 4 star rating is that they do not have a gymnasium or performance area for drama. Otherwise, Nau Charter school is a great school! Close Quote

Open Quote This school has had their share of mishaps, like any school that's new but Nau has shown AMAZING growth from day 1. The staff is great and really lookout for the students as if they were their own. I wouldn't change it for anything. Parent of two students currently attending the Nau Campus. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
