As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Assabet is a remarkable school! I am a parent of 4 children; One Assabet graduate, 2 current Assabet students, and one child in a lower grade level.
Our daughter graduated in 2009. She was accepted into all the colleges she applied to. She also, chose a very competitive major. She was offered merit scholarships across the board! She came out of Assabet with college credits in pre-engineering, her EMT certification, her CNA, and a great appreciation for her teachers, coaches, and all the other personnel. She absolutely LOVED Assabet!
Our next child is a senior. He loves his shop and has never liked school. Until Assabet, that is. He had an amazing TAG adviser his freshman year! I can't thank him enough, he made such a great impact on our son. He has been his pre-engineering teacher and such a great role model. Our son doesn't complain about school, ever. He is so glad he took pre-engineering. He is thrilled that he has received college credits thru RIT, in NY. It made him feel good about himself! His middle school years were AWEFUL!!!! I didn't know if he was going to make it through. Thankfully he did and then chose to leave our local school for Assabet. He has made some really great life long friends. What could be better than to see a smile and happiness.
The next one is a sophomore. He also LOVES it at Assabet! He said he learned more because the teachers care. He said at his old school some teachers cared but, at Assabet ALL the teachers do! If he had a problem, he could go to anyone of them! He told me that nobody thinks he's dumb here. He already qualified for college credits. He feels so good about himself, thanks to the Assabet staff. He is excelling and absolutely loving life in High school!
Life is what you make of it. It is great to know our older 3 kids feel safe, knowledgeable, and involved. The teachers, coaches, and guidance dept have been so helpful. They genuinely want to see their students excel!!!!
Assabet is amazing! It is such a great feeling to see 3 very different personalities, all having great experiences. They are all so very different; the over achiever, the under achiever, and self driven. Isn't it nice to know they all have a place where they are accepted for who they are. We have had lots of communication from teachers and guidance. They have helped to guide the under achiever and help aim the over achiever! (All in the right direction.)
I personally can not say enough about this school. I am a very thankful mother! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
