As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Since when did a parent's involvement in a child's education become a problem?? The administrators and teachers here do not like for parents to be involved in their child's school career. By that, I mean that the students are almost always made to make certain decisions without consulting with their parents. Even if the child says that they wish to speak with their parents first before deciding about something, they are made to feel as though they did something wrong by wanting to involve their parents in their decision. And then guess what? They're made to make a decision anyway. Not only that, most of the teachers that I have encountered during my child's tenure at Nicollet Junior High are not as enthused about teaching and dealing with the students as I think they should be. Also, you must be on top of your child's grades. There have been so many instances where my child has turned in assignments but when I check the online grade book, they're marked missing or late. When I have confronted the teachers about them, they'd forgotten to input the grade, or mismarked the assignment's grade, or some other bs excuse. I totally dislike this school, the administrators, and the teachers and staff. If you can avoid sending your child to this school, do it. I'm glad this is my child's last year at this school. About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
