As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Brevard Academy is a blessing for my son. The staff and faculty take time to mold particular learning plans for each and every student. They care for the children as they were their own. My son has learned so much from the teacher's and Brevard Academy. I'm forever grateful. Close Quote

Open Quote Brevard Academy has been a great fit for our three kids. Teachers, staff and faculty truly care about our children. The kids have PE every day and get to be outside. They are encouraged to help throughout the school, for example students open doors for kids at drop off in the mornings and there are classroom helpers of kids in the older grades to help the younger ones. There is a sense of community throughout the school. We have been very happy there for 3 years. Close Quote

Open Quote We really like Brevard Academy! The staff genuinely care for the children and the parents. One of my favorite things is that the kids get to spend time outside daily and have outdoor education. It’s a really great school! Close Quote

Open Quote This is our second year at Brevard Academy and it was the perfect choice for our two children. We toured a few schools when we moved to Brevard and immediately knew that BA would offer the best opportunity for academic and social growth. We appreciate the caring and supportive environment maintained by the staff and administration. Our children are growing and they are happy to attend school each day! Close Quote

Open Quote We live this school for our two young boys. Each grade only has two classes and have teacher assistants for each grade. They value the parents opinions and do so much for the kids. The director cares and communicates with families daily. We can’t say enough good things about our school. Close Quote

Open Quote Our family joined in a partnership with Brevard Academy to support our daughter’s education in 2017. This decision has proven time and time again to be one of the best we have made for our daughter. The school community, teachers, and administrators offered and continue to grow the family environment that we desire. The feeling inside the building: happy students and the phenomenal staff lead by an extraordinary director is what I have described as “sunshine!”
It is difficult to walk down any hallway and not hear laugher, meet someone with a smile, or find yourself enjoying the work of growing students highlighted outside of the classrooms. Brevard Academy has become a part of our family, just as we are a part of it’s family. We are grateful for the responsibility and care Brevard Academy invests in the growth and development of our daughter as a person, and a student. We look forward to the amazing things our last few years at the school will bring.

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
