Eufaula High School has seen fluctuations in its statewide ranking, ranging from a high of 81 out of 307 Oklahoma high schools in 2020-2021 (rated 4 stars) to a low of 271 out of 439 in 2022-2023 (rated 2 stars). However, in the most recent school year (2023-2024), the school ranked 109 out of 431 Oklahoma high schools and is rated 4 stars out of 5 by SchoolDigger. The school has shown strong performance among certain student subgroups, such as female, Native American, special education, and low-socioeconomic status students, but has struggled with the performance of male students.

Eufaula High School generally outperforms nearby schools like Porum High School, Midway High School, and Hanna High School in terms of statewide ranking and academic performance. However, Checotah High School, located just 12.62 miles away, has a higher statewide ranking and better academic performance in some areas. Eufaula High School's high percentage of students from low-income families (75% free/reduced lunch) is a significant challenge, as this demographic often faces additional barriers to academic success.

As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Eufaula is one of the worst in the area! The Principle ignores and disrespects the parents of students. There are teachers who treat the students like they are nobody. One teacher told my child that they suck the happiness from other students all because she said that prom was too expensive and she wasn’t going. I would not recommend sending your child to this school! Sports are the only thing that matter here. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
