As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I went there there for the end of my junior year and by my senior year in mid november I was done with the school many rude teachers and also disgusting environment having teachers calling out on a student in front of everyone is very unprofessional this school may have positive sayings by others but they are completely wrong. I got into 4 problems with the teachers in just by my end junior yr and mid november during senior year saying stuff to me in a rude way I went to hopewell valley and never Ive seen a school like it , I would say Truman High is better than pennsbury in general. Open Quote We found the school to have excellent resources, but it is what the student makes of it. The higher percentile students can take AP courses or honors courses. Those who want to can take easier courses. Some students attended Harvard, U Penn, Carnegie, Johns Hopkins, Duke and Penn State Shreyers Honors College. The resources are there for those who want to use them. I think average students who are willing to work will also fare in the district. Extra-curriculars are robust. Close Quote

Open Quote High school was the worst 4 yrs of my life because the school districts bully policy is to protect the bully NOT the victim. I was harassed and picked on so badly that I used to eat my lunch in the bathroom. The attitudes by the school administrators is disgusting, I bet if I was there kid they would have done something about the bullying problem. Also making us do gym every year is total crap. Some kids just aren't athletic get over it. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
