As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote We no longer live in Utah, and my kids haven't gone to Antelope Elementary in about 2.5yrs, however I just wanted to write a review about our experience there anyway because we were there for 6.5yrs.

We bought our first house in the newer developement near there and I didn't think about looking into schools first (young and it was my first home). My oldest enrolled in kindergarten at Anneliese and THEN I looked into how good the school was. I learned that it was a title 1 school that didn't do so well in a lot of the categories. I totally freaked out! I tried hard to get her moved over to a different school, but didn't have any luck. I put her name in the lottery at a couple of charter schools, and we just continued with Antelope.

After a while, we realized that Antelope was actually a really wonderful school!! It had so much to offer! The teachers were great, and there were so many awesome programs available due to the fact that they were a title 1 school. We got breakfast in the classroom and free after school program. My daughter also benefited from a few other great programs while attending school there.

Eventually, she was offered a spot at a nearby charter school, but we decided not to take the spot because we loved Antelope so much! I ended up enrolling my son once he was in kindergarten as well.

My point is that it's not always about test scores and ratings. Sometimes you need to look a bit harder. If the teacher is great, and you're a great parent, that's what matters most! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
